Children & Youth Christian education:  First offers a wide variety of Christian education experiences for all children & youth Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m.  For current class offerings, click on the "Church Information" link above then on "Christian Education." 

Youth Group: Our combined Sr. and Jr. High Youth Groups meet every Sunday after the 11:00 service.  Activities vary, and the current schedule is available on request.

Confirmation Classes are offered on a regular basis, typically every spring, for youth in 7th through 12th grade.  Classes start in February and continue through May, with students being presented to the congregation at an 11:00 service in early May.

Mid-Winter’s and Spring Youth Rally: In January and February, our Jr. and Sr. High groups go on two separate weekends to Mo-Ranch, outside of Hunt, Texas, for the Mid-Winter’s Retreat. Fundraisers are held in the fall for these events; scholarships are available to any who apply.

Mission Trips: The youth go on a mission trip every summer.  Plans for our Summer 2010 Mission Trip are underway!

Easter Egg Hunt: Every Easter Sunday, children are invited to hunt for eggs on our front lawn immediately before the 11:00 worship service. 

Vacation Bible School: Our Vacation Bible School is one of the best ways to meet the adults and children of our congregation, since almost all of them volunteer or attend!  We typically welcome 100+ children and youth to our VBS program which is offered free of charge and open to the community.  VBS at First has a strong focus on mission and service, but we also have a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, and do a lot of dancing and singing!  Four year olds through fifth graders are included as participants; youth in Jr. or Sr. high are counselors and assistants.
